A light within the coldest, rainiest months, PuSh Performing Arts Festival is a mid-winter cultural event featuring groundbreaking, contemporary works of theatre, dance, music and multimedia by artists from near and far. This year, the festival showcases 14 works from three countries, including two world premiers — you can be the first to see Do you mind if I sit here? by Theatre Replacement (Jan. 26 – 29, Russian Hall) and The Café by ITSAZOO Productions & Aphotic Theatre (dates/location TBA). Other highlights include Canadian visionary Vivek Shraya’s How to Fail as a Pop Star (Feb. 1 – 2, Performance Works) and VIOLETTE (Jan. 26 – 30, Roundhouse).
