Sled Island Festival reveals first wave of acts, including Princess Nokia and Lydia Lunch

Over 200 acts will deliver music, comedy, film visual art and more

Sled Island Festival, Calgary’s beloved summer ritual of music, comedy film and art, is back and in person at last. Running from June 22 through 26, the festival just announced its first wave of artists.

Singer-violinist Sudan Archives will perform and, as a guest curator, has helped create a stellar lineup that includes: hip hop revolutionary Princess Nokia; Australia’s soft-rock crooner, Alex Cameron; pioneering punk rock poet Lydia Lunch and her band Retrovirus; 2021 Polaris Prize shortlisters, Anishinaabe shoegazers Zoon; and over 200 more.

The festival takes place across multiple Calgary venues with tickets now on sale and more event details to come.

Other confirmed acts include: Sasami, Pears, Frankie and the Witch Fingers, Lavender Country, Ombiigizi, Little Snake, Suzi Analogue, Ahya Simone, Kesswa and many more.
