Drake club hops Friday night, not on King St. but the Danforth

WE”RE USED TO social media pics of Toronto’s Favourite Rapper, Drake, at a variety of glamorous King Street bars and other after-hours spots or popping up doing cool features at local hip hop shows — but an East End dive bar?

Fresh from mopping up his mansion from the latest Storm of the Century, Drake and crew were just steps away from NEXT’s Danforth offices Friday night.

Drake and his mighty entourage spent last night in Greektown at the especially unglamorous Black Swan, watching the superstar’s father, Dennis Graham, performing as part of Mike Sedgewick’s Friday Night Blues Jam at the bar, which features jars of pickled eggs on the counter that are older than Drake.

Sedgewick is back next Friday night, and most Fridays at the Swan, though there is no word on Graham’s next performance or whether Drake will revisit the Swan anytime soon.
