An A-List collaboration highlights pop powerhouse’s latest collection of remixes and fresh tracks.

Ariana Grande’s latest album, Positions, is picture-perfect bubblegum pop. This collection of remixes and new tracks sometimes borders on formulaic, but it’s far from bland.

It’s pretty hard to go wrong with Grande’s signature angelic vocals, risque lyrics, and flawless, high-def production. The deluxe version of Positions dropped last night (Feb. 20), adding four songs and a high-profile remix to the pop princess’ repertoire.

By far the most exciting new release on Grande’s deluxe drop is the Doja Cat and Megan Thee Stallion remix of her explicit hit 34+35. With over 450 million streams on Spotify and YouTube, the track is already a fan favourite, and it’s only made better by Doja and Megan’s biting, witty bars. The music video for the track dropped last week.

Positions Deluxe also includes four brand new tracks “someone like u”, “test drive”, “worst behavior”, and “main thing”, that are sure to hit every beat for Grande’s fans. The songs aren’t exactly essential listening, but they’re relentlessly catchy, beautifully produced, and just edgy enough to be interesting. Overall, Positions Deluxe makes a fun, bubbly addition to Grande’s canon and is sure to be a future fan favourite.
