The 19th annual Calgary Underground Film Festival — CUFF for short — is dedicated to “programming films that defy convention.” Selecting the best in indie cinema from around the globe, the award-winning festival includes features, documentaries, animation and shorts for a week in person and three days online. NEXT Magazine’s picks include: director Garry Snow’s Friendly Local Game Store (about the world’s largest game store); Naddine Madell’s A Wicked Eden about online fetish porn creators; and Philipp Reichenheim’s Freakscene: The Story of Dinosaur Jr.  And on April 23, the Saturday Morning All-You-Can-Eat-Cereal Cartoon Party, screening ’toons from the ’50s to ’90s, takes place in person. Pyjamas are encouraged.
